About the Exhibition

This exhibition is centered on work by American photographer Katherine Hubbard exploring her relationship with her mother, Antonette Berger, through photography and the process of making photographs. Its themes are family, care, memory, and reflection on precious everyday moments. Since her mother began living with dementia in 2020, the artist has documented their relationship in photographs, treating the act of making photographs itself as art. The exhibition includes work capturing the process of developing photographs together with her mother, showing that photography can become a means of forming emotion and relationship, beyond simply a tool for documentation. It comprises 12 works in total, with the exhibition space modeled on 'The Great Room,' her mother's living space.
