About the Exhibition

Groundseesaw East presents Today's Garden: Becoming Garden, a large-scale original art exhibition by Jo Eun — a National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art collection artist regarded as one of the most contemporary Korean-painting artists — from July 17 to November 29, 2026. As Groundseesaw's first-ever Korean-painting exhibition, it introduces a world of ink that, once the brush touches the paper, spreads unstoppably. The exhibition features some 80 original works densely filled with Jo Eun's 'todays.' Within her body of work — which harmoniously layers materials such as acrylic and gouache onto the grammar of ink wash to create contemporary landscapes — visitors can look into a garden unlike any other in the world, formed from the accumulation of her most authentic todays.
