About the Exhibition

This is a touring special exhibition organized so that National Treasure- and Treasure-level cultural heritage held by the National Museum of Korea can be encountered at regional public museums. Now in its third year in 2026, the National Treasure Touring Exhibition visits six regions this year — Jincheon, Yeongam, Uiryeong, Gochang, Seongju, and Cheongdo — introducing treasures that are widely known yet rarely seen in person, such as the Bronze Ritual Object with Farming Scenes from the Bronze Age, the Gold Crown from Geumnyeongchong Tomb, Baekje patterned bricks, Goryeo inlaid celadon, moon jars, and blue-and-white porcelain. In the first half of the year, it is held at the Jincheon Jong Museum (openwork peony-pattern white porcelain jar and others, May 19-Aug 9, 2026), the Yeongam Pottery Museum (dragon-pattern bricks and others, May 21-Aug 2), and the Uiryeong Righteous Army Museum (celadon jar inlaid with peony pattern and others, June 10-Aug 9); in the second half, it continues at the Gochang World Heritage Dolmen Museum (Bronze Ritual Object with Farming Scenes and others, Sept 1-Nov 22) and museums in the Seongju and Cheongdo areas. The National Cheongju Museum, National Naju Museum, National Jinju Museum, and National Jeonju Museum jointly organize and cooperate on each regional touring exhibition.
