About the Exhibition

The courtyard project 《Cosmic Tree》 outdoor exhibition takes as its motif the cosmic tree (宇宙木), a symbol frequently appearing in ancient myth and religion. The fact that this concept commonly appears across many cultures can be seen as a shared expression of how humans have tried to understand the structure of nature and the universe. The exhibition's theme, 'the connection between sky and earth,' links what appears symbolically visible with what is invisible. It is also an attempt to cross the boundaries between life and death, time and memory, humanity and the cosmos. Standing within the central garden, this tree is both a visible object and a unique axis of contemplation.
