This exhibition centers on 'Meeting,' one of the 'Skyspace' works by American artist James Turrell. It offers visitors an experience of looking up at the sky, presenting a philosophical inquiry into light, vision, and space. A leading figure of the Light and Space movement centered in 1960s Los Angeles, Turrell takes light as his primary medium to explore fundamental questions about human vision and perception. 'Meeting' is the second Skyspace Turrell created and the first such work installed in the United States, later inspiring many similar works. The exhibition comprises a single work, created and revised between 1980 and 1986, and donated to MoMA in 2016.
