About the Exhibition

This exhibition, spanning Japanese modern and contemporary art at the Artizon Museum, combines the Ishibashi Foundation's collection with works by Fairlight. Themed around exploring the historical currents of Japanese art alongside contemporary interpretation, it is conceived to show the diversity of art at the crossroads of tradition and modernity. Featured artists include modern Japanese artist Masaharu Iwano, whose work is part of the Ishibashi Foundation's collection, and contemporary artist Fairlight, with representative works including Iwano's 'Spring Breeze' and Fairlight's 'Flow of Light.' The exhibition spans the late 19th century to the present, presenting a total of 45 works.
