About the Exhibition

This exhibition sheds light on the artistic achievements of German-born artist Helga Philipp (1939-2002). A leading figure of Austrian abstract and Op art, she developed, from the 1960s onward, a precise and conceptual visual language centered on visual experience and movement. The exhibition shows her creative activity across multiple genres — painting, drawing, print art, and object art — through about 50 major works. Her work formed at the intersection of visual experience, geometric abstraction, and kinetic formal language, exploring mathematical principles, serial structures, and interaction.
