About the Exhibition

Held at a Russian museum, 'Glass and Stone' is an exhibition exploring the material boundaries of art through two materials — glass and stone. It was conceived to explore the aesthetics and historical significance of these materials through a visual language crossing the boundary between tradition and the contemporary. The main artists include Aleksandr Soloviev and Ivanov Aleksandr, with signature works Glass and Stone and All Stones Are Glass on view. The exhibition includes works related to glass and stone from the 19th century to today, presenting about 50 works in total, allowing visitors to observe how material connects with art and historical context. Through an experience exploring the identity of materials and the symbolism of substance, visitors can gain a new understanding of art's materiality.
