About the Exhibition

This exhibition, running from April 29 to August 16, 2026 at the Musée Marmottan Monet, is the first major solo exhibition of Giovanni Segantini. A leading figure of European Symbolism and Divisionism, this marks his first large-scale exhibition in France. Titled 'I want to see my mountains,' it reflects his passion and spiritual connection to nature, especially the Alps. The exhibition includes more than 50 works, centered on his output from the late 1880s until his death in 1899. Key works include his Alpine landscapes and works addressing religious themes, with his signature piece 'Mezzogiorno sulle Alpi' (Noon in the Alps) expected to leave a strong impression on visitors.
