From Turner to Van Gogh. Masterpieces of Nué Feincotheque

About the Exhibition

Centered on signature works by British painter Joseph Mallord William Turner and Dutch painter Vincent van Gogh, this exhibition sheds light on the turning point of 19th-century European art. It was conceived to help understand this art-historical shift through works marking both the end of the Western art tradition of the late 19th century and the starting point of modern art. The exhibition includes works showing Turner's visual exploration of nature and van Gogh's emotional expression, important materials for understanding the identity and transformation of 19th-century art. It presents 40 works in total, mainly composed of works by major 19th-century European painters. Turner's Storm on the Coast and van Gogh's The Starry Night in particular stand as the exhibition's highlights, offering visitors an intense visual experience.
