About the Exhibition

This is a new exhibition at the Artizon Museum spanning Japanese modern and contemporary art as well as classical and contemporary art more broadly. Themed 'Ettore Sottsass,' signifying the inner and the outer, it explores how artists reflect their identity and social context. Featured artists include Yoshihiro Iwamoto, Yuko Takahashi, and Martin Schongauer, each work reflecting personal identity and historical background. Comprising 40 works, it spans the 19th century to the present. Yoshihiro Iwamoto's 'Self-Reflection' series and Yuko Takahashi's 'The Aesthetics of the Everyday' in particular stand as key highlights.
