About the Exhibition

This is an exhibition by artist Yang Nahui, who uses discarded corrugated cardboard as an artistic medium to express, in relief painting, the traces and memories fading away amid a rapidly changing city. Urban sites such as Ilshin Textile in Jeonnam and the memories of labor and daily life accumulated there are brought back to life as a single landscape at the artist's fingertips. Held as the third installment of the ACC NEWST artist open call, this exhibition shows the process by which discarded, useless materials are transformed into new beauty through an artistic eye.
