Georges Braque, born in France in 1882 and died in 1963, was a painter. Active in Paris, he began with Fauvism before going on to lead Cubism alongside Picasso, exerting a major influence on modern art. His artistic world showed intense color and form while gradually moving toward a more structural, cubic approach. He was known in particular for a method of analyzing and reconstructing objects from multiple angles, offering an original perspective through still life and figure painting. Signature works include 'The Portuguese,' 'Still Life on a Table,' and 'Guitar and Clarinet,' regarded as key achievements of Cubism.
