About the Artist
Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, born in France in 1864 and died in 1901, was a Post-Impressionist painter. Born into an aristocratic family, he lived with a physical disability after injuring his legs as a teenager, and while active in Paris he documented a decadent, colorful life through his art. His work delicately depicts Parisian bohemian culture and human emotion in everyday life.
